We run a Model Context Protocol server at https://mcp.discordservers.com/mcp. Point an AI assistant at it, sign in once, and it can search our directory and work on the servers you already run.
What an agent can do
Nine tools cover search. Your assistant can search by keyword or category, look up a server by ID, check a member count, pull trending servers, and read the same category and sort options our search page uses. Ask for quiet Minecraft servers under 5,000 members and it queries the directory instead of guessing from memory.
Approve the servers scope and it gets nineteen more. It can list the servers you manage, read impressions, clicks and joins, rewrite a description, add or remove tags, set up webhooks, change your vote cadence and reward roles, and pause or resume an Ignite campaign.
It can also open a support ticket for one of your servers. Tickets an agent opens are marked that way, so our team knows an assistant filed it and can ask you directly if something looks off.
Connecting takes one line
For Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http discordservers https://mcp.discordservers.com/mcp
Claude Desktop, Cursor and ChatGPT take the same URL in their own config. The MCP page has the exact block to paste for each one, plus the full tool list.
Signing in
Signing in comes first. Every session needs an account, so the moment you connect, your client sends you to our login page and asks you to approve the servers scope. DiscordServers is the authorization server here, so the login page is ours and your agent never handles your Discord password.
Approve that scope and the agent acts as you on your own servers. Approve nothing and it only sees your profile. You can revoke access whenever you want.
What agents cannot do
An agent cannot bump a server and cannot spend your money. Bumping, buying premium, and adding Ignite funds are not tools, so there is nothing for an assistant to call. A test in our build fails if anyone adds one later.
That line matters for bumping. Bumps decide where a server sits on our lists, and a script that bumps on a timer is unfair to every owner who does it by hand. The same goes for spending. When you ask about premium, the agent gives you a link and you finish the purchase yourself.
In your browser
Pages on DiscordServers also offer their tools to an agent running inside your browser through WebMCP, so an assistant on a search page can use that page with the session you are already signed in with.
Try it
Add the server to your client, then ask it to find a Discord community you would actually join. If you own a server, sign in and ask what your listing did last week.
Setup instructions, the full tool table, and the OAuth details are on the MCP page.
