When the vampiric menace had been rooted out of Castle Rauvili there was not a soul who could have foreseen the cataclysmic consequences that would follow. Among them was Vermiculus Sonatus, that same war hero that had taken Castle Rauvili and destroyed the vampiric menace in its home. Again, he had acted as hero. A great enemy was felled, and Vermiculus Sonatus' army stood as the undisputed masters of Impuritaii. The Clericis in Foedaries Ark was not pleased with such a rival.
The year is 1406, 47 years after Vermiculus' march on Foedaries Ark, and not a day of peace has existed since that fateful time.
To the north the Reclima Moartă has destroyed the old guard and now gathers its strength. The boogeymen in the mountains will strike again.
In the swamps, Lady Monsila has been burned at a pyre leaving only Desmond Voros to piece together his shattered Societa Mlaștini.
