In 2023, global warming pushed society to the brink, leading to the creation of space colonies for the elite. After initial prosperity, the colonies lost contact and resources dwindled. Two colonies united as the Terra-Centauri Union, but hardships persisted. After centuries of searching, they found Alpha Centauri and made contact with the Drucogo aliens, forging peace and trade. However, greed led to a civil war, and the Nexus Military Front took control, becoming a harsh dictatorship. In 3208, the galaxy is in chaos, with criminals, pirates, and corporations thriving, leaving humanity in despair.
