It has been 20 years since the last recorded sighting of the Batman. Dead or retired, his fate remains unknown. In any case, the absence of the Caped Crusader is being felt in the concrete jungle of Neo Gotham City. Crime is running rampant, and criminal groups such as the feared Mutant Gang are challenging law enforcement and threatening public safety.

When high school student, Terry McGinnis, discovers the strange secret of an ageing Bruce Wayne, a new age of crime fighting is born. With a new Batman comes the dawn of an age of vigilantes.
