The server “Arcane Academy” takes place in the far distant future. Magic and technology are not rivals- but in fact, go hand in hand. Instead of flying brooms, witches charge up specialized titanium batteries and power up star-sailing spaceships. Magical laser-cutting devices extract precious minerals. Teleportation was harnessed to make long-distance portals to other worlds. To further the development of magical civilizations, academies were created to educate the masses. And of course, by masses, the very rich and elite.

The academy inside of Surgatti, known as the Surgatti Academy, is one such elite school for young mages. It’s a floating space base just outside the Milky Way- roughly 120km in diameter. The Surgatti Academy is just one portion of the Surgatti though. It also works as a massive research center for all kinds of magic. It’s known as the 5th-largest active magical facility, and ranks an impressive 3,907th in safety! (Out of 5120 Magical Facilities.) Prestigious families from far and wide send their children that couldn’t get into one of the top 4 Magical Academies to Surgatti- and they return ever the wiser.
