Internet Safety Tools, also known as IST, is somehow the most unsafe group with the word safety in its name. The name started as a joke, continued as a joke, and now it’s basically our entire identity because none of us had the courage to change it before it became permanent. At this point it’s less of a name and more of a curse we collectively agreed to live with. We operate entirely on sleep deprivation, Discord VC brainrot, and inside jokes that absolutely should have been buried in 2021 but instead we keep resurrecting them like we’re running a necromancy side hustle. Our collective attention span is roughly equal to a goldfish with WiFi, and honestly the goldfish might be winning. We don’t specialize in anything. We don’t focus on anything. We don’t stick to anything. We just log on, cause problems, switch games, forget why we switched, start something else, argue about something unrelated, and repeat until someone falls asleep mid‑sentence in VC. We play every type of game known to mankind: open‑world chaos simulators, survival crafting nightmares, competitive shooters that ruin friendships, party games that ruin them faster, racing games where nobody actually drives correctly, horror games we pretend we’re not scared of, factory automation games that turn our brains into spaghetti, MMOs we swear we’ll “get back into,” co‑op adventures that last exactly one session, and strategy games where none of us actually strategize. If it exists, we’ve played it, broken it, modded it, or collectively hyperfixated on it for three to seven business days before abandoning it like responsible adults with commitment issues. We are basically a rotating circus of digital chaos. A Walmart at 3AM but online. A group chat that should have been deleted years ago but somehow keeps getting louder. We are the type of people who join VC and immediately derail the conversation into something that should not legally be discussed. We are powered by caffeine, questionable decisions, and the emotional support of people who should not be supporting us. We are the reason your Steam friends list says “In‑Game: something concerning.” We are the Internet Safety Tools, and ironically we are the exact reason the internet needs safety tools in the first place.
