Set in 2005, just after the Atlantis Expedition has left for the legendary City of Atlantis, though cut off from Earth. The Goa'uld System Lord Ba'al struggles against the rest of the System Lords who are trying to remain independent, while the Tok'ra gather intelligence. The Asgard continue their fight against the Replicators, using their new weapons to destroy them. The Lucian Alliance are early in their development, having modeled themselves after the Goa'uld with a few variations. The Wraith, having just awakened, begin gathering their strength in preparation for an eventual attack on Atlantis. Stargate Command is led by someone new as General O'Neill is assigned to the Pentagon.
