The main thing that separates IDL from other leagues is it's focused on clean racing, every season drivers start with 0/5 penalty points. If a driver cuts a corner and is deemed to have gained an advantage, they are awarded a penalty point and if they reach a 5/5 penalty point, they are disqualified from the season.
