If one walks into the desert wastelands of what was once known as America, they may one day stumble across a rather interesting sight; two cities. One on the ground, and one floating right above a massive crater.

This is Direfold. Direfold Prime was at one point in time a safe haven for supernatural creatures and gifted humans who had nowhere to go. Elves, changelings, elementals… all of them could call Direfold home. However, humans didn’t take kindly to the fact that these monsters were getting any sort of good treatment. Especially when at some point, they could (and would) take over. At least, so they thought. With this mindset, they waged an unofficial war with the citizens of Direfold. It started small, though slowly escalated into something nobody could prepare for.

With random acts of violence happening on a regular basis, the mayor thought he knew exactly what to do; with the power he held, he hired engineers to bring a large chunk of Direfold into the sky. This soon became Neo Direfold.

Neo Direfold quickly became a topic of much contention amongst those who felt abandoned by their government. Those who couldn’t afford the much higher cost of living were forced to move back to Prime, risking their lives for the mere crime of existing. The people of Prime knew they had to do something, and so they started to fight, trying to protect themselves from the onslaught of violence. This angered the humans further, thus leading to all peace agreements being tossed.

Now, with the police cracking down on vigilante justice and the whole of Direfold in pieces, the citizens must find a way to survive. Where will you fall? Will you seek safety in the corrupt businesses of Neo? Or will you attempt to fend for yourself in Prime? Perhaps you’ll join the war in The Pit.

The choice is yours, and yours alone. So what will it be?
