Supernatural: The Road Diverged

Plot Summary: After Rowena and Gabriel located Lucifer to use his grace to open the portal to the apocalyptic other world, Lucifer, in his misery, chose to voluntarily help Sam and Dean Winchester. Though he abandoned Rowena in the library alone to go after the departed party that had gone looking for Mary Winchester and Jack Kline.

Eventually they made it back through, Rowena managing to keep the portal open through her own magic, extending the spell to her very limits. Sam hesitates for a moment, and in the end, Sam and Lucifer are the last two through the portal before it collapses. Unfortunately, Gabriel was still lost in the battle with the apocalyptic world’s Michael. Though without Lucifer trapped on the other side, Michael is unable to follow them to their world.

Now many of the refugees have settled near the Lebanon area in the surrounding towns. Though several have chosen to move on elsewhere, several more have decided to stay on as hunters and learn to fight supernatural creatures with what they can learn from the Winchesters, their library, and others willing to help them.

Lucifer has been partially accepted in the bunker, though many people remain very cautious with his presence. Still, he’s been behaving himself, hoping to build a relationship with his son Jack and slowly becoming an occasional presence.

All is calm, though there is still an air of mourning for some, when an unexpected event occurs. Gabriel has managed to break himself free from the empty with the help of Raphael, bringing the both of them back to life, shattering the tentative peace.
