The global incentives and vision is clear and simple: “ Build a platform for investing in green projects, picked by the community, and introduce the world to the Smart Carbon Credits Protocol (SCCP) which focuses on reducing the massive carbon output of the production industries. The platform is driven by the community and has a low entry threshold. Therefore the initial investment is low and provides stable, reliable and long-term investment profits” The goal is to finance carbon sequestration projects by trading emission rights and to lower global carbon emissions by reducing the availability of emission rights to big corporations. Alternatively, we would allow them to participate and use their emission rights to invest in carbon sequestration projects for the benefit of lowering global carbon emissions. We do this by making the emission rights market accessible to the community and people, to be more specific to Ideo Capital’s community. This market is currently controlled by big corporations and for this reason is not easily accessible. The Smart Carbon Credit Protocol will allow everyone to participate in carbon sequestration projects with a small investment to lower global carbon emissions. The community will focus on introducing better solutions in the battle against climate change through carbon sequestration incentives and increasing Ideo Capital’s value share of the global emissions trading market. This will result in shrinking the pile of emission rights and lower the amount of carbon they are allowed to emit.
