Jiggles is a 14-year-old boy with three main loves in life - dogs, art and space! He was diagnosed at a young age with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which can affect interpersonal skills, general anxiety as well as a fixation on certain things. In Jiggles’ case, this took form within art. From around 7 years old, he started sketching doodles. He excelled at drawing, and through this medium he found a way to escape into a place he felt safe and comfortable. He found true companionship with his pet dog, Millie, and with her always by his side he found comfort sketching, drawing and painting. Jiggles followed his dream of creating art, and found himself drawn to graffiti. He travelled most weekends to Leake Street graffiti tunnel in London where he taught himself wildstyle, stencil and finally settled on ‘piece’, which tends to cover a specific subject, that can be altered into different iterations. This is where the concept of ‘RBOT’ was born. In 2019 Jiggles was working on a graffiti project at the tunnel, when a passing stranger stopped, sitting to watch Jiggles work. He stayed until the piece was finished. Little did Jiggles know, but the stranger was in-fact a football player within the English Premier League. The two of them got chatting and Jiggles was commissioned to create a custom artwork for his son’s bedroom in Liverpool. This was only the beginning - within a few months he’d completed seven more custom commissions, and fourteen unique canvas artworks, with sales over £150,000. A truly life changing set of events. Through the chance encounter with the stranger, Jiggles found the confidence to exhibit his work, and within a short period of time, has gone from a struggling teenager to a young man following his dream to create art in various forms. His parents thought that his story could help others with similar conditions, which sparked a conversation with a family friend who had built several businesses over the years, and was also involved within the cryptocurrency and NFT space. This conversation led to an idea. To live his life through artistic expression, in a way that could enable him to pay his own way in life, and give himself a future that many young teens, especially those with ASD, rarely get to live out. And so, with this in mind a plan was set in action for Jiggles to design and draw his very own NFT series to be immortalised on the blockchain.
