Community server for Ignited, a Magic: the Gathering (tm) -inspired Tabletop Roleplaying Game.

You are a Planeswalker, a being whose spark has been ignited by a moment of intense emotion. With the power to visit the many planes of existence that be within the multiverse. Where would you go? To what end will you use your newfound powers?

What's Ignited?
Ignited is a Tabletop Roleplaying Game based on the Magic: the Gathering Card Game and other games like Dungeons & Dragons and Dungeon World. The system is setting-agnostic and can be used for many different genres and  fantasies, but I would say that it's best for the "Planeswalker experience", that is, regular changes in fantasy/aesthetic while still being fairly consistent. In terms of rules reliance, I would put Ignited in the middle ground between D&D 5e and Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) games.

What makes Ignited unique?
Everyone has magic! The game calls it "magic" and "casting spells", but truthfully, all abilities, magical or not, are handled by the same mechanic, so  even Barbarians can cast spells! It's up to you as the player to flavor things the way you want! Other kinds of spells include Enchantments that stick around to consistently provide its effects, Creatures spells that work like Summons, and Artifacts that can objects of immense age and power-- or merely roadside curios.

In Ignited, magic is divided into five colors, which is at the forefront of your Planeswalker's identity, while your typical "class" has taken a backseat, being  turned into "archetypes", guides to indicate what sort of gameplay you wish to engage with the most. Wanna play an offensive rock music bard with fire and lightning? Sure! Wanna be a druid that tinkers with trinkets and constructs? Definitely!

This is a DND/Lancer server set in the Sci-Fi setting of Ethymos. Primarily focused on community gaming with alternate systems, the basis of the server is the living world of the Mystagos Galaxy.

The year is 1000 AG (After Glitch). The galaxy at large has been recovering for the past millennia, with each of the galactic inhabitants finding their own way to adapt to spacebound life. With worlds becoming inhospitable, inhabited by only the ferocious creatures that could withstand the tides of the Great Glitch, all civilizations have had to conquer the stars in their own way.

With the World Souls locked off due to the affairs of the Great King Orticius, the Tribunal Empire presses further and further onto the masses struggling to survive, either to bring them under control, or annihilate the opposition from the face of the galaxy. Heavily burdened, the Pardeen Confederacy, under orders from Viebold ‘Killcount’ Lyuther,  has chosen to stand in opposition to this enemy, hoping to stem the tide of invasion in the wild areas of space known as the Mosaic Sectors. Will they succeed and expand the safety and freedom of space? Or will the Tribunal conform all space to their ‘Planar Commonality’, robbing the universe of its individuality in place of true order?

As armies clash in the emptiness, with guns, guts, glory, and a healthy dose of insanity, the stage is set.

As a Whole: This world lies in post-apocalyptic torment due to the war between magic and science. They rivaled the other to equal standings for decades. It wasnt until "the Great Surge" struck that the non-divinationally-enclined individuals realised the catalist that lied under them. Those who were fortunate enough to have practice divination were jeered and slandered as false prophets, beng cast under the guise of pety "doom sayers".
While those had their laugh, and others swallowed their shame, the "doom" rumbled from below, piercing the battlefront in the "Mourning Star War". As the mages casted their magics, and the scientists combusted their chemicals and machines, a drill emerged from below. magical and explosive energy swirled around this massive drill, to a point of explosion. the drill lies demolished to the far south of Gloomveil. Nature struggles to come back to the green side in these days. Gloomveil has at least seen its darkest days.... yet....
Grand re-Opening of a 4 Year Server!
Greetings! my name is Ambio, and i want to thank you for taking the time to give this a look! The Lucid Abyss has been around for nearly 4 years. Due to life circumstances, we had to put the server on hold for nearly a year. we have a strong crew of 6-8 DMs (including myself). DMs needed!. the current capacity is at 80 members (myself and 6-8 bots included). As its a Living World server, we are looking for like-minded individuals to assist us in bringing the world to life. not interested in DMing? more of an architect/artist? MORE THAN HAPPY TO HAVE YA! World building is top priority right now, so any help, criticism, or tips will never go disregarded. green_heart 
times of play: are currently limited to roleplay (24/7) and basic encounters/arenas/exploration until we get the proper player/DM residency in the world to give DMs and architects to build off of.
